No, I’m not THAT Michael Jordan. ;). I’m a Global Communications Advisor and author of "The Global Communications Toolkit" (5,000-plus subscribers), who relishes the challenge of helping you and your organization engage and impact your target-audience. With credible, evidence-driven content.
I’m the Founder of MJ Method Communications, a New York-based boutique consultancy specializing in Global Communications, Media Relations, Executive Coaching, Staff Training, Thought Leadership, Strategic Storytelling – and other forms of content-creation.
In a career spanning three fields, I feel fortunate to have lived on four continents: including Europe, Africa & Asia. As a Foreign Correspondent, I’m a former UN correspondent who’s reported from 30 countries in Eastern Europe, Central Asia and Southern Africa, for media like Foreign Policy magazine; the French news agency AFP; the Christian Science Monitor newspaper; and South Africa’s Mail & Guardian.
As a Visiting Professor of International Journalism, I’ve taught from New York to Hong Kong, from Prague to Maseru. Most recently, I taught courses at top Chinese universities in Beijing & Shanghai; in 2021, I returned to Long Island University-Brooklyn to teach Journalism & Social Media.
As a Global Communications expert, I share my skills, strategies and storytelling styles with for-profit and non-profit clients. My Consultancies have ranged from HIV orphans and maternal health in Africa (while living in Lesotho), to environmental protection and telecommunications in China (while based in Beijing).
