Hello Readers! Being initially from Minnesota, I get excited every spring to see what's happening for FWMN! I am pleased to share their most recent press release and that Inside Fashion Design will be following the events! I am also pleased to hear that their ethos fosters financial sustainability, enriches their local fashion ecosystem, and placing priority on supporting designers. FW MN Spring 2024 is returning to the Twin Cities in full bloom April 14th-20th!

Fashion Week Minnesota Reimagined

Bringing a new approach for the 2024 season, FWMN is pleased to introduce a new model designed to foster financial sustainability and enrich our local fashion ecosystem. This year, we are taking significant strides to reimagine FWMN, centering our efforts on uplifting designers and local small design and fashion businesses. Our commitment to this ethos is a testament to our dedication in supporting the vibrant talent within our community and providing a platform for emerging voices in the fashion industry.





In a bold move towards creating a more prosperous future for all involved, FWMN is proud to unveil the "All Boats Rise" model. This new approach is aimed at cultivating a more profitable and sustainable environment for designers, producers, models and all stakeholders, ensuring that FWMN continues to thrive and expand in the years to come. Additionally, we are delighted to announce that Haus of Sonder will be stepping in as the executive producer of FWMN. This strategic partnership will allow for more direct oversight and ensure a consistent and high-quality experience across all shows, from the front to the back of the house, including attendees, models, and sponsors. A cornerstone of our new model is our unwavering commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). DEI principles will be intricately woven into every aspect of FWMN, from the runway to behind the scenes, ensuring our shows are a true reflection of the diversity and richness of our community. In line with our commitment to centering designers and advancing our new ethos, Haus of Sonder will be the Executive Producer of Fashion Week MN. With a rich history of championing design, innovation, and inclusivity, Haus of Sonder brings a fresh perspective and expertise to the event, ensuring a future that aligns seamlessly with our vision for Fashion Week MN.


Haus of Sonder's dedication to excellence and their unwavering support for emerging talents will play a pivotal role in nurturing and celebrating our local design community. Our vast experience in fashion event production and commitment to diversity, sustainability, and responsible practices will be integral in shaping a Fashion Week MN that truly centers the designers. Under the leadership of Haus of Sonder, Fashion Week MN will continue to evolve, inspire, and provide an even more vibrant and inclusive platform for designers to flourish.


The Fashion Week MN Management team includes Sarah Edwards, CEOand Co-founder, Sade Young Social Media and Content Manager, Annie Clark Event Producer and Charlie Crocker, Senior Brand Manager, all with extensive experience and expertise in their respective areas of focus.

Fashion Week Minnesota and Producer Keiona Cook of Lovely’s Sewing & Arts Collective present I AM Fabulous - a captivating Paris themed afternoon that celebrates models aged 60 and above. Witness the grace of these stunning women and dapper gentlemen as they strut the runway at Hutton House. Designers include: J Hillburn North Loop, TPPX (The Poncho Palace Xchange) TAAS Designer Studio, AJ Store, Twin Cities Frocktails, Jean Manrique Fiber Arts, NKHLE, Te La Vie Collection, Natoya Doulatt, Jordan Marie Brands, Pieces of Kandkaes and Nashipai.  Danielle Everine presents: Into the Studio: Sustainable Style, A Fashion Revolution a vibrant runway show of the latest collections from local Minnesota designers. Each collection utilizes different aspects of the slow fashion movement: from using natural, organic, and recycled materials to featuring ethical and fair-trade production processes. Meet the designers who will share insights into their design process and the inspiration behind their sustainable practices. Into The Studio is part of the larger Fashion Revolution Week, which is a global movement dedicated to raising awareness about the true cost of fashion and promoting more sustainable and ethical fashion practices. They believe that fashion can be beautiful, innovative, and sustainable, and are excited to share their vision. Shop pieces right off the runway and take them home with you. The designers will also be accepting orders from wholesale buyers interested in sourcing sustainable and eco-friendly clothing and accessories. 


Featured designers include: Danielle Everine, Fridays, WAY the Label, Rebekah Anne, Lily Turner, Ellekin, INDIGO & SNOW, Jen Beaupre Designs, Orinlaen, JosephineDenae, Chosen & Free and Crayon Kelly. (Venue: Machine Shop. Golden Magazine presents Golden Era: Revival - an ornate runway show inspired by the golden era of designer fashion houses. Utilizing vintage and thrifted pieces only, we aim to encapsulate the essence and style of iconic brands such as vintage Chanel, Dior and Maison Margiela. Step into a realm of timeless elegance and boundless creativity with an enchanting journey through the Golden Archives of fashion history.


Presented by a University student led fashion magazine, this immersive event invites you to rediscover the magic of vintage fashion and celebrate the enduring allure of iconic designs from fashion's most illustrious eras. Golden Revival is a celebration of fashion's most treasured moments, curated to honor the timeless beauty and innovation of vintage design. Inspired by the rich heritage of legendary fashion houses, this event promises an unforgettable experience that seamlessly merges the past with the present.


Journey Through Time: Embark on a captivating journey through the Golden Archives of fashion with a twist, where every garment tells a story of elegance, sophistication, and creativity through the eyes of local creative.


Vintage Market: Immerse yourself in the world of vintage fashion with interactive exhibits and displays, offering insights into the craftsmanship, innovation, and historical significance of each showcased piece which you will be able to shop some of your favorite looks of the night. Designers include: Dusted Archive, Madeline Madden, Back Pocket Vintage, Vintage Rack, Better Together, Maker! Jeans & Apparel, SMR Thrift, RETHINK by Kristen McCoy. (Venue: The Lowlands. Thursday, April 18

Gayle Smaller Jr presents MAN DOWN: The Green Edition - an all-menswear runway show using fashion as a vehicle to bring awareness to men's mental health.Every 6 out of 10 men have experienced or will experience at least one trauma in their lives. MAN DOWN is partnering with local nonprofit and community organizations in an effort to bring awareness and raise funds in support of men's mental health, MAN DOWN will spotlight designer's menswear collections as well as male and masc presenting models.


Designers include: Andy Vilaisak, SENTI Designs, Alex Bah, TheMe Clothing Brand, Leo Spry, Anyse Fashion, Dare to Darling, Altelier Creative, Leather and Velvet, Lost Adventures, Jordan Carpenter Fashion, Ria Ann Designs, Black Beauty 6, Ndara’s Jewels.


Mental health partners include Reviving Roots, Creative Kuponya, NAMI Minnesota, The Family Partnership and Sigma Lambda Beta – Alpha Beta Chapter. (Venue: The Luminaire. Friday, April 19

La Rotonde is an immersive runway experience that celebrates the collaboration of young and emerging artists in Minnesota. The name draws inspiration from a historic café in Paris where famous artists would gather in the 1920s. La Rotonde replicates this experience on the runway by inviting four artists of varying mediums to collaborate with eleven fashion designers. Designers include: Afro Curvy, AmazoniaElisabeth, AnnMonica, DinhVWY, DesignZolasina, BrandJULI et LEE, gracecassidy, Erin Briggs, CreativeDare to Darling, Olivia Bergerson and Celestial Supreme. Saturday, April 20

The Fitting Room presents Evolve the finale event of Fashion Week Minnesota celebrating local up and coming and established designers as they present their spring collections on the runway and in our pop-up. Featured Designers include: Danielle Everine, Cece Cabana, Strey Designs, Tomaschya, Joeleen Torvick, 1004 Designs, Wet by Bre, Scott J Lehmann, Van Quigg, James Reilly, Ema, Rebekah Anne, Tila and the Textiles, Moongold Goods, Alma Mia, Karen Morris Millinery, Lindsey Ries Studio, SHExclusive, J Lux Jewelry, El and Gray Jewelry, Dottir, PPTaller, Vikse Designs, Gina Mount Jewelr, Amy Sabatier Designs, 3jag design and Huxley Eyewear. Music by Ringtoss Twins. (Venue: Star Bar + Bistro. Doors open at 6:30 for pop up shopping with the runway show at 7:45 pm.
