Emma says: "As a fashion designer, technical designer, pattern maker, and artist, I value craftsmanship, artistry, and environmental awareness. My work explores the relationship between humans and nature, reflecting our role as stewards of the planet. Inspired by historic and contemporary designers and the natural world, I merge functionality with aesthetics, while focused on sustainability and conscious design.
To minimize environmental impact, I use deadstock and upcycled fabrics and prioritize limited waste patterns. I also find innovative ways to reincorporate textile waste and cutoffs back into my work, contributing to a circular design process."
